Saturday: Computers...again, and Fresno

So my computer (which I have mentioned how old it is getting) has been making weird noises recently. I have decided to replace it with a Macbook, but since I have never used a Mac I thought I should take a class at the Apple store in San Luis Obispo. After the class I thought I need more help when I get it, but I definitely am buying a Macbook.

Then I decided to drive to Fresno and go to the temple there instead of combating traffic and going to the LA temple. Even though I had totally Mapquested the drive I still got lost once I got into Fresno and sure enough I had to call my brother in Idaho and ask him to give me directions around Fresno from Mapquest. This is not the first time Corey has done this and will definately not be the last. Thanks Bro!

It's small, but pretty.

This couple had just gotten married, so I didn't want to get in their pictures so I was taking them at a weird angle.

It's a little difficult to take a picture of yourself and trying to capture an object in the background, and not be fuzzy. Trust me I am not that good of a photographer! You can still see the photographers equipment over my left shoulder by the pillar.

herbs

After I saw Denae's plant post I remembered that a few weekends ago I went to Home Depot with the intention of buying a plant to make my apartment more happy. But when I got there I decided to buy a couple of herbs. I took a herb class when I was still in Las Vegas and loved it. When I smelled the dill (on the left) I was reminded of a summer my Mom had planted dill in my Grandpa's backyard when we lived in his house.

They actually look a little bigger now.
Maybe I should give them names?

RS and callings

Sister Beck came and spoke for a couple of stakes here in the Santa Maria area a month ago. I forgot to say something about it, but it was awesome! It wasn't a typical talk from church leadership, she set it up as a Q&A. There were some good questions, but of course there is the risk of the wacky person, we only had one.
So one of the counselors in the bishopric stopped me in the hall a couple of weeks ago and ask me to be the Assistant Girls Camp Director. He didn't even take me into the office and ask, just right there in the hallway where people were walking by, it was weird. So I had my first meeting with YW leaders about camp, I thought I was suppose to be the assistant, but apparently I am going to be the Director, which is fine because I have done it before. It's at the end of June, I actually like Girls Camp, but this year is going to be alot more work because we are going as a ward and not as a stake. So I hope I have a good group of 4th and 5th years because they are going to be busy!
