So I found out one of the small mountain peak trails close by has switchbacks. This is good, so I can get ready for Waterton! (This picture is from the top of Bishop's Peak looking down at all the switchbacks.)

It also has some great trees that look like the forest that Little Red Riding Hood got lost in.

Volleyball

I went with the Boys Volleyball team to Oxnard for their first playoff game. Yes, #0 is really that much taller than the rest of the team. This is the intros.

I usually sit on the end, but I was taking the picture. It was a good thing I went to the game since we found out, once we got there, the other school doesn't have an Athletic Trainer.

Mother's Day weekend

Since my Mom is still up in Boise to help Corey and Sara with Brylee and Caimon I only got to talk to her on the phone while everyone was taking a Sunday afternoon nap.

I also spoke in church. They said not to do a traditional Mother's Day talk, so I was assigned President Hinckley's talk "If Thou Art Faithful." My Mom asked if I told everyone about how my Grandma Jensen wrote lessons for the Relief Society manual in the 1970's. In one of the lessons Grandma used my Mom's name in a story. And they gave out flowers to everyone, mine are pretty!


Mother's day is also special because it was my last sunday on mission. I can't believe it has been 12 years since I lived in South Africa. Just crazy!

Plus it was my parent's 37th wedding annversary this week. I always forget if it is the 11th or 12th of May.

Saturday was the Young Women's Girls Camp fundraiser. We earned lots of money, hopefully it will be enough to cover the rafting? We did a spaghetti dinner, with desert, a farmer's market, and the girls really wanted to do a karoke auction. That was funny!

I hope everyone voted for Mayo on Dancing with the Stars! I also have a friend who is on Super Idol, which is Taiwan's version of American Idol. His name is Benji Schwartz. Too bad I don't speak Mandarin or live in Taiwan or I would vote for him too. Although I think he needs a hair cut, unless that is popular in Taiwan?

herbs grow

Here are my growing herbs. The savory now has little purple flowers on it. The dill did die a little, thus the yellow, because I forgot to feed it for a week, but I am good at it now. At least they are still growing!

My friend Mayo is in a competition to be the next professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars! He is cute and sweet. When we were on tour in Belgium, during intermission Mayo took me on stage and made me dance with him. He is an awesome dancer! So everyone Vote for Mayo!!!
